Department store chain John Lewis will almost double its number of click and collect points across the United Kingdom. The extension is the result of a partnership with the Co-op. For John Lewis, this is another effort to support growth in ecommerce.

John Lewis will add the 400 new locations at Co-op stores in the United Kingdom by the end of this summer. If all locations are added, the department store retailer will have a total of almost 900 points where online shoppers can pick up their purchases.

John Lewis expects more online shopping

The department store says that throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, it has seen a significant shift to online shopping. The company expects this trend to continue. “We are dedicated to providing more choice when it comes to how our customers receive their purchases, helping our customers shop how and when they want us. This includes providing more locations for collection and returns for online shopping”, Andrew Murphy, Group Operations Director at John Lewis Partnership, says.
